Range Rover Evoque participates in the Dakar Rally
We already knew that the brand new Evoque can handle rough terrain without problems, but the Dakar is something else. Still the British Rally Raid Team Excite didn’t hesitate to use the latest Range Rover to conquer the sands of South America to even though this Evoque does show little in common with the showroom version.
In the custom frame by Rabe Race Cars is a BMW engine. It is a diesel with a capacity of 3.0 liters. The straight six-cylinder produces 275 hp and 650 Nm of torque through a six-speed ZF course all four wheels. The suspension comes from Reiger and the tires from BF Goodrich.
Very heavy
Mr. Martin Rowe, Andrew Coley, John Hardy will take place behind the wheel. They will try to manouvre this 1,900 pound Evoque through the rough and rugged landscapes of South America.
